"Emerging Issues" Workshop Was Organized in Istanbul

Emerging Issues Workshop, under the Emerging Issues and Forward Thinking Portfolio, organized by the SAI of Finland and hosted by Turkish Court of Accounts in İstanbul on 20-21 November 2018
 
The Workshop was opened by the speech of the Seyit Ahmet BAŞ, President of the TCA and EUROSAI and he stated that “EUROSAI is committed to meet its members’ demands and expectations. I believe that emerging issues management is one of the key factors for SAIs to stay relevant and responsive to changing environment.”
 
The participants of the Workshop were the European Court of Auditors and the SAIs of Estonia, Sweden, Lithuania and Portugal as well as representatives from the EUROSAI Governing Board Member SAIs namely Czech Republic, Latvia, Finland, the Netherlands, Moldova,Turkey, Spain, Poland.
 
The EUROSAI Emerging Issues Web-based Dialogue conducted in September 2018 with the participation of all EUROSAI member SAIs to define the most important emerging issues for Supreme Audit Institutions’ work in the 2020’s. Following the Web-based Dialogue, the Workshop provided a valuable opportunity for further discussion on the emerging issues relevant to the audit work.
 
During the Workshop, the approaches and methods concerning the integration of the developments in the fields of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and cyber security into the activities of the SAIs were discussed with the moderation of the experts from the SAI of the United Kingdom, SAI of Israel, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Aalto University.
