President of the Turkish Court of Accounts

Metin YENER

 

Metin YENER was born in Ankara in 1972.

He graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics.

He began his professional career as an Assistant Specialist at the Prime Ministry. He later served at the Prime Ministry as a Specialist, Head of Department, Deputy Director General of Laws and Resolutions, and Director General of Personnel and Principles.

On August 3, 2018, he was appointed as the Director General of Personnel and Principles of the Presidency.

He completed his master's degrees in the Department of Economic Policy at Gazi University and at Indiana University in the USA.

He was elected as the President of the Turkish Court of Accounts at the 94th Plenary Session of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye on June 22, 2021.

On November 22, 2025, he was elected as the first-term President of TURKSAI for a period of 3 years.

He was re-elected as the President of the Turkish Court of Accounts at the 106th Plenary Session of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye on June 24, 2026.

He is married with two children and speaks English.
